The Unmaking- Nichole Nordeman

"Only when we're broken are we whole"

I hate making mistakes. I hate that brokenness is apart of my story. It has been apart of my story since before I could remember. From the time I cheated on a test to the numerous times I didn't speak love into people's lives, I wish I could undo every mistake I have ever made. I wish I didn't have to be a broken mess before my God and the people I love. If I am honest with myself, I wish I could be a perfect person.

However, I am learning that in my brokenness, I am brought closer to God. It is through my brokenness I am being whole and into the person God wants me to be. If I was perfect, God couldn't use me to proclaim Him to broken people just like me.

We have to admit that brokenness is apart of our story, to embrace that God is for us and with us. He wants to use our brokenness in ways we never thought possible in our wildest dreams. Our God can redeem any story. We just need to open our eyes to his redemptive work in us and through us.

We are all broken people, in need of a Savior. Will we embrace our brokenness? Or will we deny it, living lives of complete ignorance?

Join with me in embracing brokenness as the pathway to wholeness. It is only through our brokenness that the world can be brought closer to Jesus.
