( This is written in part due to my wife’s birthday today!!) Happy birthday love!

This song was I skipped often, or just plain ignored, as I listened to this album before I met Jennifer. However, the song has grown on me since I met Jennifer.

The song talks about how romance at its finest are echoes of Eden-pointing us the love that was between Adam and Eve before the Fall.

We can only imagine how beautiful the intimacy must have been between Adam and Eve. Intimacy, at its finest with no sin in it’s way. The emotional and spiritual connection must have been amazing!

Yet, it is so true that we can see in romance in it’s finest, an echo of eden. What makes Jennifer so beautiful to me is that she makes me come alive in ways I have never been before. She is a woman of God, who always point me to God in times of trouble and difficulty, yet look to Him in times of joy too. I don’t know where I would be, without her presence in my life-a Godsend”.

I cannot help also to think that romance also points us to the relationship that was between God and Adam and Eve. Before the Fall, Adam and Eve felt no shame before God. It was only after the fall, that they felt shame before God.

What can we do, as people in light of these echoes of Eden? Let us love our spouses and appreciate them as true gifts of God-an expression of grace-unmerited favor. We can also seek out the eternal lover of our souls, God, with a passion and intensity that can point the world to Him.

So whether you are married or not, live out the echoes of eden in your day to day lives.
