True life is not lived on the mountaintops, but in the mundane of everyday life. It is found in the moments of not wanting to get up in the morning, but getting up to provide for your family. It is found in the moments of praying with your children before they go off to school, kissing your spouse before you go off to work

.

These moments, according to Steven Curtis Chapman, are moments made for worshipping.

This is a moment made for worshiping

Cause this is a moment I'm alive

And this is a moment I was made to sing

A song of living sacrifice

For every moment that I live and breathe

This is a moment made for worshiping”

Why are everyday moments moments made for worshipping?, you may ask. It is because everyday moments determine the true attitude of our hearts. Will we make the choice to worship God in this moment or not?

I am learning , slowly but surely, to be emotionally present, not just physically present, in the lives of my friends and family. Yes, it will impact lives for eternity if I live this out day by day. But more importantly, when I love people in this way I am loving God and worshipping him with my life.

Will I sing a song of living sacrifice to my God with the moments of my everyday life? Or will I choose to worship my selfish nature?

It is not that focusing on me is a bad thing. It is when I exclude the needs of the people around me, I am not worshipping God.

How does God want you to live out this in your day to day life today?

In the moments of our day to day life, God wants us to worship Him with our lives as we point the world to Him.

Some days that will look like picking up the mess on the floor the kids left behind. Some days it will include changing dirty diapers. Other days it will involve spending intentional time with your spouse.

Regardless, whatever it is, love on the people in your life as you worship Him more fully.
