Victory in Jesus

“O victory in Jesus,

My Savior, forever.

He sought me and bought me

With His redeeming blood

He loved me ere I knew Him

And all my love is due Him,

He plunged me to victory,

Beneath the cleansing flood.”

What Jesus has done for me is something I couldn’t accomplish on my ability and power. He died for me and my sins when I was far from Him. He wanted me to have life and have it to the fullest.

This is astounding and overwhelming. I would love to repay him in a way that is as much as He did for me. But, that is what grace is not about. Grace is not about earning God’s love, but receiving God’s unmerited favor as a free gift from him.

Victory is mine in Jesus, just is it is for you. Our so-called good deeds are worth nothing to Him. All he wants for us is our hearts, so that we may be formed more into his likeness.

Claim victory in Jesus today, friends. Live lives as victors, not victims. When we live as victors, we are becoming more and more every day into the people He wants us to be: men and women after His heart.
