Vision of Love- Kris Allen

"When a heart breaks And the world shakes Will we stand for the vision of love? When a tear falls And the fear crawls Will we stand for the vision of love? Will we stand for the vision of love?

Hearts break, and worlds shake all around us. Tears fall and fear crawls into people all around us. People are longing for people just like you and me, to meet them in their crying out for love and acceptance. To meet them in their loneliness and be their friend. To say the words, "You're beautiful", in a way that speaks into their lives words of encouragement.

I think it is so easy for us in the church to ignore the needs of people all around us. For example, I often justify the living of my life and say, "I serve at my church. I go on trips to Ecuador and Africa. That is enough." But God calls me to a vision of love that is beyond my own little world, and into the worlds of people all around me.

This vision of love began when God created man in His own image at the beginning of creation. Out of love, He made us and formed us to be a people that will reflect His love to the world. He is calling us to be apart of this vision of love, laying down our lives so that the world will see Jesus in us.

Even in the church, we can embrace lives without vision or purpose. We think we know what God wants for us, when often we don't have a clue.

Friends, stand for the vision of love today. Live lives full of purpose and meaning in such a way that they will not see you, but only Jesus.
