"But the voice of truth tells me a different story The voice of truth says, "Do not be afraid!" The voice of truth says, "This is for My glory" Out of all the voices calling out to me I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth"

I don't know about you, but there are voices that compete for my attention every day. Voices of inferiority, worthlessness, and doubt. These voices are often anxious thoughts from Satan causing me to doubt my ultimate identity in Christ. They often keep me awake at night, as I seek to remember my true identity in Christ and nothing else.

However, it takes more than just remembering my identity in Christ, it is choosing to listen and believe He is truly singing over me. God says to me, " I love you, I accept you, You are worthy. You are more than enough!" He is the voice of truth that speaks light into my darkest hour, the ultimate truth among all the lies that surround me. He is my strength in my weakness.

You may ask, "What does it take to listen to the voice of truth?" It begins with focusing your mind on "whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy" (Philippians 4:8). It is only then, as we fill our minds with what is good, we can focus on God's love, power, grace, and provision for us.

Friends, listen to the voice of truth that calls out to you in your darkest hour. Listen to the voice of Jesus who calls you in the middle of your brokenness and sings over you with a song of joy and delight.

Then not just listen, but believe the voice of truth. It is through believing in God's love for us, we can see than we are His masterpiece, His prized creation. It is only then we are empowered to trust and follow Him every day, wherever He leads us from our neighborhoods to the nations.
